Fargo’s own Jaci Stofferahn is competing as Miss North Dakota in the Miss USA Pageant, and she needs your help.
Through June 2, fans can vote for their favorite contestant on Facebook, Twitter, missusa.com or nbc.com. The contestant with the most votes will earn a place in the semifinals.
The 23-year-old Stofferahn left for pre-pageant events and training on Friday, and the pageant will be held June 3 in Las Vegas. “I’m super-excited,” she said. “It’s been a whirlwind of getting ready.”
To prepare for the pageant, Stofferahn has been keeping up on current events, working out twice a day, and eating healthier than usual. “I have a huge sweet tooth,” she said.
She’s also had to make sure her wardrobe is ready and mentally prepare for the pageant, she said.

She’s leaving on a jet plane and she’s hoping she’ll come back again as Miss USA.
Marie-Lynn Piscitelli, 26, Tuesday is headed for Las Vegas, Nev., where she will compete for the title of Miss USA 2012 against contestants from every state.
While becoming Miss USA has been a goal for years, she is using it as a stepping stone to her business career. She is a freelance makeup artist and hairstylist who one day would like to have her own nationally recognized brand of cosmetics.
A member of the North Haven High School class of 2003, Piscitelli graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in accounting, then Bentley University with a master’s in taxation. She was working for Deloitte & Touche when she realized what she really wanted was her own business, so “Make Up by Marie-Lynn” or “MXML” was born.

Miss USA 2012 Day 1 roundup
First day of Miss USA registration & fittings is over! The pageant sponsors Kooey Swimwear, Rain Cosmetics, Farouk/CHI and Sherri Hill have been busy fitting the girls for their competition wardrobe and primping them for their initial photoshoots. In addition to the usual Fadil photos, gown, swimsuit & headshot pics there is also another CHI shoot this year. The fabulous news is that this year’s Fadil Berisha photoshoot theme is a high class Roman goddess theme shot on location at Caesar’s Palace! I love the candid pics that have emerged today, they show real promise for an awesome set of photos for 2012.

Not much has emerged about the swimsuits but here are a couple of pics. Not sure if the swimsuit pictured is a competition swimsuit or for the photoshoot/pool events (I’m guessing the latter).
A note on Kooey… I volunteered at the Miss Universe Australia swimwear show they sponsored last year and had lots of fun backstage, helping prep the contestants before they hit the stage. The Kooey team were fun to deal with and I was stoked to hear they had signed to be the Miss USA sponsors this year :D The swimsuits and resort wear the contestants modelled were GORGEOUS, with an earthy and very Australian feel. Kooey were also the Teen USA sponsors last year. Hoping to catch up with them when I hit Vegas!

Thanks to the generosity of my fans, I arrive in Vegas on the 28th! First time in the US since I was six… not surprisingly I am very, very excited :D
@realmissflusa #missusa Karina Brez is Miss Florida USA 2012 and will compete for Miss USA on June 3 at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas. The competition will be shown on NBC.
To keep her figure toned for pageant competitions, she works out for 2 ½ hours seven days a week and eats five small, healthy meals daily. She also keeps fit to stave off health challenges, includingheart murmurs.
Brez was born in the Soviet Ukraine, but as a child moved with her parents to South Florida. At the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, her classmates called her “least athletic.” But these days, she likes how much energy she gets from working out.
