Congratulations to the this weekend’s second pair of titleholders =) As with Iowa Rebecca (Becca) Hodge, the new Miss Iowa USA 2012 has no prior experience, whilst Carissa Becker, Miss Iowa Teen USA 2012 placed first runner-up last year. She is the third 2011 Teen first runner-up to win a title this year, following Kendall Fein crowned last night in Ohio and Kalani Jorgensen crowned last weekend in South Dakota.

Audrey Bolte has been crowned Miss Ohio USA 2012 and Kendall Fein took the Miss Ohio Teen USA 2012 title in Portsmouth, OH on Saturday night. Audrey was competing for the first time whilst Kendall may potentially be the most experienced contestant at Miss Teen USA this year, having placed first runner-up last year and fourth runner-up in 2009.

Pageant Update - Shanese Brown, Miss TN Teen USA 2012 →

As of 14/10/11 Samara Ham has resigned the Miss Tennessee Teen USA title and first runner-up Shanese Brown has assumed the title. Shanese placed 3rd runner-up last year and will be the first returning runner-up to represent Tennessee at Miss Teen USA since Rachel Smith in 2002!

When Alyssa Campanella — the reigning Miss USA — came home after nearly a month in Brazil, where she competed in the Miss Universe pageant, her body decided it needed rest. A lot of rest.
“Like any girl after a pageant, we kinda go through, I call it post-pageant depression,” Campanella said in an interview with Toledo Free Press Star. “After being around so many awesome girls for three weeks, and after being through all that excitement, suddenly you come back home and it’s just crash time. When I first got back in New York, I fell asleep and I slept for, like, 20 hours straight.”

Not that she’s complaining. Campanella’s enthusiasm for her accomplishments in the pageant system come through with every word she utters. But now, it’s all over. The 21-year-old New Jersey native’s pageant career ended with her elimination from competition at Miss Universe, where she placed in the top 16.
