Miss USA 2012, Olivia Culpo, returns after her June 3rd crowning for a series of events, highlighted by a media-focused homecoming gala at OPTX Rhode Island in Johnston—July 5th at 7PM. OPTX, a proud partner of the Miss USA pageant, will host the press, VIP’s, invited guests and dignitaries. The homecoming celebrates Ms. Culpo, a native of Cranston, Rhode Island who is the first to be awardedthe prestigious title.

Beginning July 3rd, Rhode Island USA state pageant directors Cynthia J. Provost and Deborah N. Miller have stacked a 4-day itinerary with events that announce and celebrate Culpo’s grace, poise, personality and confidence. Ms. Culpo will greet thousands of well wishers at the historic and acclaimed Bristol Fourth of July Parade, offer hope and inspiration to young patients at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and celebrate with residents of her home town, Cranston, at a large, special celebration planned in her honor. Bay View Academy, her high school alma-mater is also on the itinerary.

Miss Rhode Island USA directors teamed with OPTX to create a special presentation of Cartier sunglasses for Miss USA 2012 and a photo exhibit to be displayed at the OPTX gala, featuring images of Olivia inspired by “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” shot in New York City by famed photographer Fadil Berisha.

The events will begin for Olivia as soon as she arrives in Rhode Island. Young and older fans alike are thrilled about her first return to the state and look forward to getting a glimpse, autographs or photos during her time in town.
