Miss Teen USA runners-up at Miss USA…

Time for some historical trivia :)

This year there will be a record three former Teen runners-up competing for the Miss USA title: Brittany Sharp (4RU 2006), Chelsea Welch (4RU 2007) & Kasey Staniszewski (3RU 2009). Brittany, Chelsea & Kasey follow in the footsteps of almost 30 previous Miss Teen USA runners-up and top five/six placers who won state titles and competed at Miss USA. Here’s a list, with how they placed at Miss USA:

2006 - 3RU Samantha Casey (Virginia) - Miss Virginia USA 2010 (2nd runner-up)

As you can see, just over half went on to place at Miss USA. Of those, a high percentage also made top five in Miss, and three won the Miss USA title. Those whose Miss placement was higher than Teen included Danielle Boatwright, Samantha Casey and the three Miss USAs: Lynnette Cole, Tara Conner & Alyssa Campanella.
